Terms of use
Inkswipe is free to use. Your videos are yours. The pages in them are invented, so please use them honestly.
1. Agreement
These terms apply when you use www.inkswipe.app ("Inkswipe"), made and run by an independent developer based in India ("I", "me"). If you don't agree with them, please don't use Inkswipe.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 13. If you're under 18, use Inkswipe only with a parent's or guardian's permission.
3. The service
Inkswipe is free and runs in your browser. It may change, pause or stop at any time. Projects are saved only in your browser and can be lost if its data is cleared, so keep copies of anything you export.
4. Your content
You keep all rights in the words, text and music you use, and you confirm you have the right to use them, including any article text you paste and any music you add. Your content stays on your device; I receive no rights in it.
5. Your exports
You may use your exported videos and images for any lawful purpose, including commercial use, without credit. Inkswipe's layouts, generated text, fonts and graphics remain mine or my licensors', and I give you a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, permanent licence to use them as part of your exports. Please don't extract the templates, fonts or graphics and redistribute them on their own.
6. Generated pages are fiction
Headlines, names, quotes, handles and outlet names are invented by Inkswipe, and any resemblance to real people or organisations is coincidental. The pages can look realistic, and you're responsible for how you use and present them. Exported files are tagged "Made with Inkswipe" with a note that their pages are fictional.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use Inkswipe or its exports to:
- Defame: make or imply false statements of fact that could harm a real person, business or organisation, including by typing their name so it appears in a made-up headline, quote or post.
- Impersonate: pose as a real person, news outlet, publisher, platform, brand or public body, or use their names, logos or trademarks to suggest the content comes from or is endorsed by them.
- Deceive: present exports as genuine news, search results, posts or documents, or create fake evidence or screenshots meant to mislead.
- Mislead on public matters: spread misleading content about elections, public health, emergencies, conflicts or financial markets.
- Harm people: harass, threaten or target anyone, create sexual content about real people, or create any content that sexualises minors.
- Infringe rights: infringe copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights, for example with articles or music you're not allowed to use.
- Break the law or the rules of the platforms where you post.
- Abuse the service: interfere with it, overload it, or scrape it at scale.
8. Label edited media
When you post exports, label them as edited or fictional wherever a platform's rules ask for it or viewers could be misled. TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube all have labels or disclosures for edited or synthetic media. If in doubt, add a caption such as "Edited · made with Inkswipe". Platform rules change, and following them is up to you.
9. Reporting misuse
Email hello@inkswipe.app. I can't remove content from other platforms, but I'll cooperate with lawful requests.
10. Other services
Inkswipe is hosted by Vercel and, only if you allow it, uses Microsoft Clarity for analytics (see the privacy policy). The platforms where you post have their own terms.
11. No warranty
Inkswipe is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, I'm not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or projects, or lost profits, and my total liability for any claim is limited to USD 50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
13. Your responsibility
To the extent the law allows, you'll cover reasonable losses and costs arising from third-party claims about your content or exports, or about your breach of these terms.
14. Suspension and changes
I may block access if I reasonably believe Inkswipe is being misused. I may update these terms; I'll post the new version here with a new date, and continuing to use Inkswipe means you accept it.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer elsewhere, you keep the protections that the law where you live gives you.
16. Everything else
If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term isn't a waiver of it. These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about Inkswipe. Questions: hello@inkswipe.app.
